December 6 is one of the most exciting day we’ve got in 2014…
Regie Pasion:
The LGBT community assembled in Remedios Circle in Manila and has taken part in the biggest pride march of the country. There, the community was able to express their rights and freedom.yes..we are fighting for equality.
PATAS, (Philippine Atheists and Agnostics Society joins and support all the way our brothers and sisters in fighting for their civil rights.
PATAS is the biggest Atheist and Agnostic group in the Philippines and we are not only active online.our presence is felt in the real world.
We support the LGBT community as we shout ”Huwag Masyokot Makibeki”!!
Thomas Fleckner:
PATAS, meaning also “equality in Tagalog, came out with its theme for civil rights support and equality. There is a tendency of growth each year, and yet the way is far from reaching the amount of people in the movement we need. I always point out, that too many people pave the side of the roads during the Pride March, rather than joining in. Reasons may vary, and there is still a lot to do to find out. On the other side, real opponents are just few, and in fact always the same faces; an American lead small religious group promoting midievel slogans. Our PATAS cream on the cake is the “straight – gay” KISS, showing the big heterosexual support for LGBT rights.
We will continue to support the LGBT community for better times to come!
